Zezamii Rooms connects your Cloudbeds property to your door locks and access-control system, so every guest gets a unique door code automatically — created the moment a reservation is confirmed, and revoked automatically when they check out, cancel, or no-show. The code is also saved back onto the reservation in Cloudbeds as a Door Lock Key, so your team can see it right where they work.
This guide covers signing up, connecting, what the integration does, how to disconnect, and how to get help.
How to sign up for Zezamii Rooms
You have two ways to get started — pick whichever suits you:
Option 1 — Start from Cloudbeds (recommended for new users). When you install Zezamii Rooms from the Cloudbeds Marketplace (see the next section), you'll be guided to create your Zezamii Rooms account as part of connecting. No separate sign-up needed.
Option 2 — Sign up directly. Go to rooms.zezamii.com, create an account with your email, and you'll get an organisation and a first site (property) ready to configure.
Either way you end up with the same Zezamii Rooms workspace — the difference is only where you begin.
How to connect Zezamii Rooms with Cloudbeds for the first time
You can connect from either side — the Cloudbeds Marketplace, or from inside Zezamii Rooms. Both link the same property; choose whichever you're already logged into.
Path A — From the Cloudbeds Marketplace
- In Cloudbeds, open the Marketplace and search for Zezamii Rooms.
- Select Connect (or Install) and review the permissions the app requests.
- Approve access. Cloudbeds sends you to the Zezamii Rooms connection page.
- Sign in to your Zezamii Rooms account, or create one if you're new.
- Choose the organisation and site you want to link this Cloudbeds property to (new users get one created automatically).
That's it — you're connected.
Path B — From the Zezamii Rooms dashboard
- Log in to rooms.zezamii.com.
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Cloudbeds.
- Select Connect Cloudbeds.
- You'll be taken to Cloudbeds to approve access — sign in there if prompted and select Allow.
- Cloudbeds sends you back to Zezamii Rooms and links the property to your current site.
Once the Connect Cloudbeds button shows "Cloudbeds connected", the property is linked.
What happens right after you connect
Automatically, in the background:
- Your rooms sync from Cloudbeds into Zezamii Rooms.
- Reservation updates start flowing to Zezamii Rooms (Cloudbeds notifies us of new, changed, and cancelled bookings).
To finish setup, complete these one-time steps in Zezamii Rooms:
- Connect your access-control system under Settings → Integrations.
- Map each room to its door lock(s) so codes reach the right doors.
- Set your check-in / check-out times and choose which reservation statuses trigger a code (for example, Confirmed).
After that, code creation and removal is fully automatic.
What the integration does
- Automatic access codes — a unique door code is generated for each reservation and applied to the room's lock(s) as soon as the reservation reaches a trigger status you choose (e.g. Confirmed).
- Works with your locks — Verkada, Zezamii Control, and Inner Range Inception access-control systems.
- Codes saved back into Cloudbeds — each code is written onto the reservation as a Cloudbeds Door Lock Key, visible to your front-desk team.
- Rooms sync and map — your Cloudbeds rooms are imported and matched to your physical locks.
- Automatic revocation — access is removed automatically on cancellation, no-show, and check-out, so codes never outlive the stay.
- Multi-room bookings — a booking that spans several rooms gets a separate code per room.
- Optional license-plate access (Verkada) — if you use Verkada with license-plate recognition, a guest's plate can be provisioned alongside their code.
- Configurable timing — set check-in/out times, buffer windows, and which statuses trigger provisioning per property.
How to disconnect the apps
Disconnecting is done from the Cloudbeds side.
- In Cloudbeds, go to your connected apps (Marketplace → Manage / My Apps).
- Select Zezamii Rooms and choose Disconnect.
For step-by-step Cloudbeds instructions, see How to disconnect an app from Cloudbeds PMS.
What happens on the Zezamii Rooms side: when you disconnect in Cloudbeds, Cloudbeds notifies Zezamii Rooms and we clean up automatically — you don't need to do anything on our side. We stop processing new and changed reservations for that property, remove the Cloudbeds property link from your site, and deregister the reservation notifications for that property.
Existing codes: any codes already issued to your physical locks are not wiped by disconnecting — once disconnected, we can no longer act on that Cloudbeds property. Verkada codes expire on their own validity window; for other lock systems, cancel the affected reservations before disconnecting, or remove those codes from your lock system directly, if you need them gone immediately.
Reconnecting is safe and self-healing — connect again from either side and the property re-links, rooms re-sync, and notifications re-register.
